This month we chatted with Anna Percuoco, Manager of Ecostudio Fellini about the history of the venue, its many awards and winning charm.
Q: Please describe Ecostudio Fellini in your own words?
Ecostudio Fellini opened in 2002. It’s a romantic, lush, green fairy wonderland. It’s so beautiful and peaceful with lots of trees and the pond with lily pads including ducks.
Q: Do you know any history about the venue prior to it becoming Ecostudio Fellini?
EcoStudio Fellini was called the Summer House and it was a stop for Cobb and Co coaches to collect milk via a flying fox from the neighbouring dairy farm. The tree where the “milk wheel” was suspended is still on the property and is now heritage listed. The reception centre building was once the original school from Springbrook.
When the owners first purchased EcoStudio Fellini, the reception centre was very dark and small and over the years they’ve transformed it into the amazing venue it is today.
Q: What awards have you won?
ABIA 2014 - Reception Centre - Winner ,
Brides Choice Award - Wedding Venue Restaurant – Winner
ABIA 2016 – Reception Centre – Runner Up (we lost out by 0.32%)
We won these awards because our brides and grooms voted for us, which means the world to us because it’s coming from our very happy customers.
Q: What types of events can you host?
We mainly host weddings and corporate functions, up to 160 guests. Our venue is extremely popular for weddings - we host around 125 per year. Ecostudio Fellini also have four lodges on the property. Three lodges can sleep up to four guests and one sleeps two guests.
